Our Mission

The BBB is set up to manage and maintain a proper business atmosphere within Last Call RP. We require each business to pay taxes and fees, issue business licenses, review the economy, and host community events.

📋

Licensing & Compliance

Each business receives a certificate equivalent to a business license. These must be kept on the premises at all times.

💰

Economic Oversight

We review the city's economy to ensure businesses are not under/over charging and are complying with the wishes of the city government.

🎉

Community Events

The BBB schedules and promotes events around the city. Business owners are encouraged to host and collaborate with us.

Becoming a Business Owner

Being a business owner is a privilege that comes with responsibilities. You must follow all city rules as well as rules set forth by the BBB.

1

Develop Your Idea

Come up with a business concept and contact the BBB in the city.

2

Initial Meeting & Government Contact

After the initial meeting, you will be instructed to contact the BBB through government channels.

3

Submit a Business Proposal

When the government gets back to you, submit a detailed business proposal.

4

Grow & Operate Your Business

Keep your business open and active in-character. You cannot open minimally (once a week). We want a functional, self-standing business side for the city.

Note: Players must be a member of society for 30 days before opening a business.

⚠ Note: Each player may own only ONE business. If you cannot take on the responsibility, do not apply — let someone who can, take it.

Fees & Taxes

Every business must pay a flat license fee and ongoing taxes. Keep a running record of your finances to help the BBB track your success.

License Fee

$200,000

Upfront flat fee for the purchase of the license. This money is added to the business account and may only be used for business-related purchases.

Bi-Weekly Tax

15% or $150,000

Every two weeks on Friday, businesses pay the BBB 15% of bi-weekly sales or $150,000 — whichever is higher. This is non-negotiable. Failure to pay may result in seizure.

Bonuses

Up to $500K

Owners may give bonuses based on sales at their discretion, but should not exceed $500,000 per person. This is separate from normal pay.

Startup Funds

You may deposit additional funds into the business account. These are considered startup and should only be used for bonuses, event planning, and purchasing stock/materials.

Hard Core Rules

All businesses must adhere to these regulations. Non-compliance may result in warnings, probation, fines, or permanent closure.

Inactivity: If a business hasn't opened for at least 1 week, the BBB opens an investigation. After a warning, you have 7 days to become active or the business will be closed.

Probation: If the owner makes an effort to fix inactivity issues, they are placed on 30-day probation subject to review at the BBB's discretion.

Permanent Removal: If the owner is permanently removed from the server, the business passes to the co-owner/manager or is closed. The owner loses all rights.

Criminal Activity: Criminals may own businesses, but violent crimes on business premises are heavily discouraged. No gang beef or gunplay inside. Clocked-in employees may not be taken hostage.

No Gang Affiliation: No visible gang affiliation on any employee. No visible weapons for employees. Employees may defend themselves but cannot abandon their post for gang beef.

Organization Limit: If you are part of an organization, there may be only 1 of each type of business.

Discord Required: All businesses must have a business Discord server. At least one staff member must be invited with admin roles.

BBB Access: The BBB holds keys to all businesses and may conduct searches. No illegal items may be stored on premises. Violations result in fines, closure, and police reports.

Right to Refuse: Businesses may refuse service, but there must be a valid RP reason — not simply because you dislike their crew/gang.

Essential Businesses: Food and mechanic shops must be physically opened. Being "on-call" does not count. At least one employee must be inside.

Food Perks: For restuarants do not max out special perks with food. Example food items that give 100% of something special like armour. Please keep this perk at around 20%. There are other ways to obtain these perks. This should include drinks as well.

Right to Work: Last Call is a right-to-work city. You can be hired or fired without reason. No discrimination of any kind is tolerated (race, sex, age, religion, etc.).

Dress Code: Businesses should have a dress code. Staff should be dressed for the role. If it doesn't make sense, don't do it.

MLO & Stock Requirements

🏗️

Purchasing an MLO

For businesses requiring an MLO, the player must purchase it after government approval and transfer it to the city. Once "built," you have a two-week window to get ready — create a menu, hire staff, plan an opening event, and train employees.

📦

Pocketable Items

All pocketable items (food/drinks) must be transparent, high quality, and must not contain branded names (e.g., "Coke" or "Coca Cola"). Each restaurant must have a menu with set prices.

👕

Custom EUP

If you want custom EUP for your business, the BBB will put you in contact with our EUP department. A business must be open and functioning for at least 2 months to request a new MLO.

Time to Party — Events

Events must be held at least once a month. This can include a food tasting, car show, or anything creative! You must contact the event team to set it up so we can promote it through proper channels in Discord/emails.

Multiple businesses can collaborate on events and this will count for both businesses for the month. This rule helps build the community, opens up avenues of RP, and encourages activity in the city.

You can also do "pop-up" events without contacting the events team.

Transferring & Selling

All Sales Are Final

If at any time after opening the owner feels they can no longer run the business as set forth in BBB regulations, they may petition to transfer the business to another citizen.

  • Contact the BBB about the transfer/sale and discuss the new idea/plan.
  • The owner must provide the BBB with at least 2 potential candidates.
  • If candidates don't meet requirements, the BBB may place the business up for sale or close it.
  • Each new submission must follow the standard BBB form for purchasing.
  • Submitting a proposal does not guarantee ownership.
  • Business sales must not exceed $1,000,000 in cash and must not involve real-world currency.
